All4God Vision 5:Being a generation that seeks God's face

This comes from Psalm 24. In Psalm 24:3-6 it says:
“Who may ascend the hill of the LORD ?
Who may stand in his holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not lift up his soul to an idol
or swear by what is false.
He will receive blessing from the LORD
and vindication from God his Saviour.
Such is the generation of those who seek him,
who seek your face, O God of Jacob.”
Living All4God is about being a generation with clean hands and pure hearts, ascending the hill of the Lord, receiving His blessing, and reaching out to the world as a result in such a way that has never been seen before. There is a guy Steve Auld from Lisburn who spoke at my SU about this, and then spoke at our SU weekend (the same one mentioned in part 2 of this series), and it really impacted my life. It was the point when my faith turned from being something I professed to something I tried to live out, a transformation that the Church as a whole is in desperate need of.                                                                                    Also there is a feeling among Christian circles that this generation of young people is special, that God is going to use us for great things, but that will only happen if we seek His face with clean hands and a pure heart. So let’s turn from sin. Let’s stop living for worldly things. Let’s make seeking God’s face our priority. And maybe then we will be the generation that receives great blessing and vindication from God.                          One extra point – Moses ascended the hill of the Lord when he received the 10 commandments and afterwards when he came down has face shined. (Exodus 34) – if we as a generation ascend the hill of the Lord we will shine out for God in such a way that the people around us will notice.
