In the end

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.” Romans 8:28-29
One of the things Paul tells us in the book of Romans is that, in the end, God causes all things to work for our good if we love God and are called by Him. And this can seem a strange verse for many of us who are going through circumstances that are far from good right now. But here is the good news – if things aren’t good for you right now, it doesn’t mean God loves you any less. It doesn’t mean He has forgotten about you. It doesn’t mean He doesn’t care about the rough time you are going through. All it means is that right now is not the end; and you can take hope from God’s promise that in the end everything will work for good. There will come a better day. One day He will wipe every tear away, but until then, we need to keep going. We need to keep enduring. We need to press on, with the hope of the light at the end of the tunnel that one day, God will turn things around. There will come a day when He transforms things in your life for good. There will come a time when you will be able to look back on your life and see how God was at work for good, but for now it may not be obvious. So today, whatever your circumstances, take hope from the ray of hope this promise provides, that better days are coming and that God will use whatever you are going through for good, according to His perfect plans to prosper you and not harm you (Jeremiah 29:11)
