Hey You

Hey you, sitting at home, wondering if anyone cares.
Hey you, feeling alone, with no-one to share your pain.
Hey you, with all your struggles and concerns.
Hey you, with your heavy load and emotional baggage.
Hey you, yes you, reading this now, God loves you.
You may feel like it is all too much for you, that all the stuff piling up in your life is too much to bear. But Jesus says “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28). You may feel like you are all alone, with no-one to share your pain, but God says “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you” Isaiah 41:10. He promises to “strengthen you and help you…[to] hold you up with [His] victorious right hand.” Don’t lose hope, trust in God to sustain you!
You have two choices today. You can listen to the world as it screams you aren’t good enough. Or you can listen as God whispers “I love you.”
