Restore

Psalm 126v4-5 “Restore our fortunes, O LORD, like streams in the Negeb! Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy!”
Often walking with God can be like crossing a bridge in the fog. We can’t see the other side. But we know there is a path beneath our feet and we trust it will hold us. Often God doesn’t show us everything that is ahead. But we can trust that when we walk with Him He will lead us where He wants us. It may not be where we want to go, or how we want to get there, but it will be the best destination. When the path seems difficult we must trust and sow faithfully, trusting that at the time of harvest we will reap with shouts of joy. The journey from sowing to harvesting can be long. It requires hard work and effort. But the reward of harvest makes it worth it. And when difficulties come our way we can take courage that He who began a good work in us will see it through to completion. We must press on across the bridge in the days of sowing in tears, for God WILL bring us across to the other side where we shall reap with shouts of joy. We must continue to faithfully take each step along the journey, trusting that His word is a lamp for a feet and a light for our path. Though storms may rage around us the bridge we walk on is anchored firmly in Christ the Solid Rock, the one who by His words calms the waves. We will get to the reaping with shouts of joy, God has promised us that, but He has also warned us there will be tears along the way. Don’t give up when the hardship comes but stay faithful, trusting the God knows where He is leading us even though we may not yet see the other side of the bridge.
